As your Alderman-at-Large, I have and will continue to champion solutions to the challenges facing our City.

Let me begin by saying that in the Service Industry there is a model called the “Service Profit Chain.”

The basic concept of the model states that if you have Loyal and Satisfied Employees it will lead to Loyal and Satisfied Customers ultimately leading to Profit and Growth for a company. I believe in the merits of this model and have seen it implemented effectively in the culture of private business; and I would like to try to apply these same concepts to our City.

If City/School Employees are Loyal and Satisfied that should lead to citizens of the City being loyal (enjoying living in the City) and satisfied (pleased with the services being offered – i.e. Recycling, Public Transportation, Education, Library Services, etc.) ultimately resulting in a City which is financially healthy. This is where I know we can take our City together with responsible spending.

I will continue to bring an open mind, apply my critical thinking and analytical skills by asking the difficult questions, listening to the responses, and then finally applying the following questions to any and all issues brought before the Board of Aldermen:

  1. Is it the TRUTH?
  2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  3. Does it promote GOOD WILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIP?
  4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
